I was drawn to travel at a young age. When I was 13, I stepped onto a plane, solo, for the first time and realized how cool it was to brag to my friends back home that I got to visit somewhere without my parents. And that’s how it started. In university, I studied abroad in the UK and after finishing school, I moved to London to teach. There’s just something about waking up in the morning and seeing Big Ben from your bedroom window. The UK was that window for me. Being in that big, metropolitan city opened up so many travel opportunities for me.
Since then, I’ve travelled all around North America and Europe, with hopes of trekking through Asia in the near future. But all my travels seem to have one thing in common — beer. The single best way to see a city at night as a solo female traveller is to embark on a organized brewery tour, and I’ve been on many of them now. London, Brussels, Berlin, Prague, Munich, Salzburg… I drink beer, walk around the city, talk to bartenders, share brews with great people and while I end up with a hangover, I always have new Facebook friends from new countries when I wake up in the morning.
If you’re new to the blog, I hope you enjoy my ramblings about the cities I visit and the brews I discover. If you’re a returning reader (or a new reader who plans on reading more!), you’re awesome. We should be friends. Find me on social media so I can add you to my network of new travel friends.
